Do you know?
It is said that Lord Pashupati was playing a game of dice with Goddess Gautari. After being caught cheating in the game; he tried convincing Goddess Gautari that it's okay to cheat and that the world itself is an illusion (maya) including the food that we eat. Gautari, who governed the natural elements, decided to teach Pashupati a lesson and disappeared for a while. Immediately thereafter, chaos ensued as food, agriculture, fruits and vegetables vanished from the earth. This made Pashupati realize the importance of worldly things, especially food. Gautari then reappeared with a bowl of millet in her hand thus bringing back food on earth.
Shabari Naturals brings to you 'Varai / Bhagar' also known as Barnyard millet which is often consumed during fasts.
